Dr David Sime is a Melbourne-trained consultant orthopaedic surgeon, specialising in conventional and robotic hip and knee joint replacements; sports knee surgery including arthroscopy and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction; as well as all upper and lower limb trauma in adults and children.
David completed his medical training in 2009 at the University of New South Wales, where he obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with first class honours. He subsequently studied a Masters of Surgery by research, graduating with first class honours through the University of Edinburgh in 2015.

Here he worked with Mr Andy Williams, an internationally recognised expert in this field. During this time David treated a number of elite players from top level professional sports teams in the English Premier League and Premiership Rugby, as well as Olympic athletes. This experience provided David with subspecialty training in complex anterior cruciate and multi-ligament reconstruction, meniscal and cartilage preservation techniques; as well as enhanced recovery and return to play programmes.
